Give them a chance, be open to new things that you may never have heard of.
Go for it and listen to what they’re saying, ask questions. Maybe write things down if you need to beforehand. But yeah, really go for it.
Write your questions down if you don’t understand the answer, don’t be afraid to say, I don’t understand. But stick with it. See what they can do. They’re caring, and they want to help you. It requires an open mind.
I used to think that this was how I was going to be for the rest of my life, I didn’t want that. Now I actually look forward, can actually see a future, which is extraordinary. It really is.
It’s been incredible. It’s been life changing for me. I’ve been listened to, and everything’s been explained, everything that I’ve been feeling inside for years and years and been thinking about, it’s all been explained.
I’ve been going through the extreme pain for years already. I had no idea what to expect, or what I needed. I had succumbed to the fact that this is my life, and I have to deal with it, as I have no choice!
I can’t remember the last time I was able to “vent” properly to a professional (with no judgement/lectures) and feel as though I was being heard.
By the end of our chat, I was incredibly hopeful; for the first time in a long time!
You’re just brilliant!
(The Doctor) made me feel so comfortable and relaxed, and I think the whole place is relaxed. That’s what I like about this.
Life changing, outstanding. I honestly believe I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t had this time, this experience, and you know, it’s ongoing, It’s something that I’ll use day in day out for the rest of my life. It’s been amazing, and I hope other people can benefit.
(Pain Clinic) exceeded my expectations. It was the first time I’ve been with a team who, when they say, we can’t fix it, they then go, we can’t fix it, but, but here’s what we will try and do, or here’s how we can help. So yeah, very grateful.
