Public Sector Equality Duty Publication
The Public Sector Specific Equality Duties require NHS Trusts to publish information that demonstrates compliance with the general equality duty. Stockport NHS Foundation Trust publishes our annual equality report to demonstrate our compliance:

Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
We recognise that EDI is a central feature of delivering compassionate care and maintaining a quality driven highly-skilled workforce. Achieving diversity within our workforce and embedding inclusivity is a core requirement for all NHS health and care providers.
The quality of patient experience cannot be separated from the quality of staff experience. Inequalities in workforce diversity cannot be divorced from inequalities of health outcomes, and there maintains an interdependency and correlation.

Workforce Race Equality Standard
NHS England have incorporated the Workforce Race Equality Standard (WRES) into the 2015/16 NHS Standard Contact. The standard requires organisations to demonstrate progress against a number of indicators of workforce equality. Our results and associated action plan are published below.

Gender pay gap reporting
On 31 March 2017, it became mandatory for public sector organisations with more than 250 employees to report annually on their gender pay gap. The gender pay gap is an equality measure that shows the difference in average earnings between women and men. In order to meet this legislation, we have published our gender pay gap below and on the Government’s website.
